Intro to Natural Ink Making (One Session)
Sunday June 9th
12-3pm (3 hours total instruction)

Get ready to spend 2024 in Natural Colour!  Join studio co-founders bekky O’Neil and Keith Del Principe during this introduction to making inks from foraged and cultivated plants, fruits and nuts.  This introductory course will start with an overview of the history of ink making around the world, traditional practices and contemporary artists working within this eco friendly art medium.  We will talk about materials and art supplies and demonstrate several different approaches we use for making inks (and using them for animated films!) in our own art practices.

Students will have lots of studio time to forage in the garden, experiment and produce a series of their own ink drawings on archival paper and cards.

All materials and refreshments are provided.

Due to the size of our studio and parking lot we have a maximum enrollment for all workshops of 6 participants.  Sign up early to ensure your spot!

Please note that due to the necessity to purchase materials and supplies ahead of time all of our workshops are non-refundable.  Should something arise that makes you unable to attend we are happy to offer credit towards a future workshop of your choosing.
